Need time off work, uni, or caring duties due to a minor illness? Chemistworks can provide a pharmacist-issued Absence from Work Certificate after a brief consultation which is often a quicker alternative to booking a GP appointment.
Note: pharmacist certificates are not the same as a GP-issued medical certificate. Please check your workplace or education provider’s requirements.
When you’re unwell, the last thing you want is long wait times. At Chemistworks, our pharmacists may be able to issue an Absence from Work Certificate (sometimes called a “work certificate”) to support personal leave (sick leave) or carer’s leave for minor, self-limiting conditions, provided it’s within the pharmacist’s professional scope and clinical discretion.
- Online payment, then in-store consultation
- Certificate issued if clinically appropriate
- Suitable for minor illness/minor injury and some carer’s leave situations
- Same-day service in most cases (subject to pharmacist availability)
How does it work?
- Add to cart and pay online
- Select Click & Collect and choose your Chemistworks location
- Attend a short consultation with the pharmacist
- If clinically appropriate, we’ll issue your certificate - usually on the same day as your consultation.
